Stephen recently finished work on three films:  “Legacy”, the psychological thriller starring Wolfgang Bodison (“A Few Good Men”, “Akeelah And The Bee”, “Joe Somebody”) and Will Wallace (“The Thin Red Line”, “I Am Sam”, “Tree Of Life”) and daytime drama star Kyrie Maezumi; the Sundance Channel commissioned film “The Hunter’s Moon” (see main page), produced by Lunatopia in conjuncture with AFI and AMPAS (the film was completed in September 2008), and “Cosmic Radio”, which he wrote and directed for Velocity Pictures, starring Michael Madsen, Seymour Cassall, Wes Studi, Daryl Hannah, Irene Bedard, Rider Strong, Ricardo Chavira, and Randy Spelling. Stephen has also signed to direct the joint Canadian/Scottish film “A Song For The Dead” , which films in the Arctic Circle, North West Territory, Canada, in September 2009.


Stephen is an award winning Screenwriter, Director, Producer, Editor and Composer. His screenplay, 'Queen Of Screams', which screened at Cannes in 2009, has been produced as a feature film and is in the can and awaiting release with Ryan Films. His Lewis and Clark script, 'Shadows Of Lesser Men', was under option with Lionsgate for 6 months. Stephen is also slated to direct the first solo music video for Taboo of the Black Eyed Peas, and has signed to direct two more films for Velocity Pictures/Pretty Dangerous Films. He spent part of this past summer directing and editing commercial ad spots and travel pieces for Time/Warner's Travel Channel and Tourism TV, and was in the UK for two weeks for a History Channel project which will air in April, 2008. Stephen has written, directed and or edited four feature films, twelve shorts, and various commercial spots.


Stephen will be directing his romantic drama "Country Club Cowboy" in March 2010. He is also writing the action-adventure film "Stiletto and Bob" for a German production company, to be filmed in Hong Kong and Berlin in mid 2011.


His first feature length movie, 'Turquoise', won both 'Best Screenplay' of 2002 from the California Film Commission and the 'Excellence In Screenwriting' trophy at the NorthWest Film Institute at Washington State University. The film itself (along with the soundtrack, which Stephen scored) has gone on to win numerous awards at film festivals throughout the United States, including Best Screenplay, Best Director and Best Feature/Audience Choice awards at the Minneapolis Cinema Festival (SMMASH FEST) and Best Feature, Best Screenplay and Best Director at the ICF International Film Expo.
