Lunatopia is proud to announce that the short film “The Hunter’s Moon” was successfully completed in September 2008.
The film stars Wes Studi ("Last Of The Mohicans, Dances With Wolves", Geronimo"). Conor O'Farrell ("Stir Of Echoes", "Desperate Housewives", Buffy The Vampire Slayer", "The Pacific"), and Michael Rider (“The Roadhouse”), along with a splendid cast of new faces. The story is a retelling of the night Sheriff Pat Garrett shot and killed Billy The Kid.
The film was submitted to the AFI-Sundance Channel's "American Film Perspectives" series to air in 2009. The film was shot on location at one of Mr. Savage's favorite cinematic strongholds, Idyllwild California, in the San Jacinto Mountains. Savage filmed his environmentally themed romantic comedy "Cosmic Radio" in this same mountain range.
